Ditto the Beagle

Much has been in the news lately about the pet food recall. I’d like to take a minute to send out a dedication to all the cats and dogs who have become sick because of the contaminated food. My dad says the pet food industry is one of the least regulated industries in the country and most people don’t even realize what they are feeding to their pets. Companies likes Iams claim to be high quality but then the truth comes out that they don’t even control the ingredients that go into their foods.

Paying $20 a month for a bag of high quality food like Wellness or Newman’s Own seems like a small price to pay to ensure high quality food. While the major brands may be cheaper, is it really worth risking your pets life?

Well, it was bound to happen. I now control my new daycare. I get to sit up front with the humans and bark at everyone. All of the other dogs have to stay in the back. But I am the cutest and everyone likes me the best. Dad made some comment about them liking me best because we give them the most money, but that’s simply not true.

It’s been real nice weather here. I’ve been playing in the backyard every night. I love to run around in circles and then roll around in the grass. Mom gets mad because she says it makes me stink, but I’m a dog, so what do I care?

Boy have I been gone a long time. Sorry! Mom and Dad have been super busy with work and travelling a lot so I haven’t had a lot of time to use the computer. I did get to go spend a few days with my Grandma and Grandpa and cousin Max. It was a lot of fun. I really like waking them up early, just like I wake Mom and Dad up. Max likes to get up early too, so it seems to be ok.

The weather has started to get nicer so today I went out on the deck and laid down in the sun. I was so happy! I love the sun! Mom and Dad say I can go on a walk later today.
