Middle East animals

Monday, July 31st, 2006

I try to avoid getting into politics because I generally don’t understand why people just can’t either get along, or leave each other alone. You know, I hate people as much as anyone, but when I’m in my house I mind my own business. That seems to be impossible for humans to understand.

In the past couple of weeks there has been great suffering in the Middle East. Both for humans and animals. The animals are easy to forget and once again, as I did with the tsunami, I am asking people to consider making a donation to the International Relief Fund of the Humane Society. They are assisting organizations in Israel and Lebanon to help protect and care for abandoned animals.

Oh, and one final comment. I encourage all readers of this blog to boycott any film with Mel Gibson. I have decided he is one of the dumbest, most ignorant humans I’ve ever heard about.

I told them!

Well, I warned them when they tried to give me new food that I wasn’t happy about it. And, as usual, I was right. The food they gave me makes me itch all the time and I am always hungry. I mean, I am always hungry in general, but with this new food it was like they weren’t feeding me at all so I had to get more clever in snatching food from the garbage can or hands. Mom and Dad were not pleased with that at all.

So, yet again, they have me on a more high quality food, which is what they should have left me on in the first place. This new food comes from this real neat pet store that just opened. It’s called Lotus and is only available in San Francisco and Los Angeles. It has chicken and fish in it and I love it! Apparently it’s better than even the old stuff I used to eat. All I know is that I’m not as hungry as I used to be and hopefully I’ll stop itching so much soon.

Stupid humans.

Too hot!

Sunday, July 23rd, 2006

It has been ridiculously hot here lately. And let me just say, we have no air conditioning, so that makes it even worse. Dad turned on a fan today in the living room and that’s where I’ve been staying. Yesterday they took me to Blackey’s Pasture and I almost died! I think it as borderline child abuse. They ran me back and forth on the grass and then I got home and collapsed.

Here are some pictures:

Feeling better

Tuesday, July 11th, 2006

I’m feeling a whole lot better. Mom and Dad think it is because they keep shoving this pill down my throat, but I think it’s because I’m super strong and can fight off anything that tries to take me down. I haven’t gotten to go back to the Cove since I got sick. Mom and Dad said maybe I can go back next week if I stop coughing completely. I miss all my friends there. Especially Snoopy. I hope he hasn’t forgotten about me.

Dad is out of town so I get to sleep on his side of the bed while he is gone. Mom gets real mad when I put my head on the pillow, but how come she gets to get one and I don’t?

Look at how sad I look

Ditto - kennel cough

Kennel cough!

Thursday, July 6th, 2006

Mom and Dad abandoned me at the Cove again this past weekend. So I taught them a lesson. There was a dog there that was coughing a little bit, so I decided to hang around him. Now I have kennel cough! Neat, huh? I kept Mom and Dad up all night coughing and spitting stuff up on the carpet. Then they took me to the bad place real early in the morning and the doctor gave me some medicine that made me super sleepy.

Mom and Dad say I can’t go back to the Cove until I am all better, so I am just lounging around the house resting. It is nice to relax sometimes.
