Too many people!

Monday, March 27th, 2006

I got no peace this weekend! Lemme tell you what happened…

On Friday, Michelle snatched me up at the end of the day and threw me in the tub. What the heck? She gave me a real long bath and then sprayed me with the disgusting smelling perfume.

Ok, so that was bad, but it gets worse…

I got home and almost right away Grandma and Grandpa from Virginia showed up! I was trying to eat and they just barged right into the house. MY HOUSE!! I had to finish eating before I could properly go bark at them, but don’t worry, I let them know how I felt about them being there.

Pretty bad, huh? But it’s not over…

Grandma and Grandpa were around all weekend but the real trouble continued on Sunday when some weird lady showed up at our house and started painting Mom’s face with all this stuff. It was ridiculous. All I wanted was to rest and be left alone. That lady eventually left and then Grandma and Grandpa left and Mom and Dad took me on a nice walk. After that I went to sleep until this morning.

No one better show up at the house this week!

Here’s a new picture Dad took of me recently. I also heard that he got a video camera, so soon you may have videos of me!

Hazing at the Cove!

Thursday, March 23rd, 2006

This morning was fantastic! There was a new employee interviewing at the Cove and man did I work them over. I wouldn’t stop growling and barking at them. I think I really scared them bad. They seemed afraid, anyway. Paul says anyone that can put up with me is a good person to hire.

My friend Oscar has been at the Cove for awhile. I think he is going home tonight, though. He’ll be sad because me and the other dogs have been teaching him some good tricks. His parents may be mad, though.

I heard something about getting a bath tomorrow. I say NO WAY! I will never be caught alive!

A weekend at the Cove

Monday, March 20th, 2006

I spent the weekend at the Cove and Paul and Michelle’s house. Mom and Dad went to some place called Denver where they saw these people:

Group Denver shot

Now, what’s wrong with this picture? It’s pretty easy to figure it out. I’m not there! And there is delicious food that I clearly would have enjoyed eating.

I did have a pretty good time though. I got to eat a little Tapioca Pudding that Paul snuck me. It was delicious. I also went pee on Gavin’s (the little boy)  backpack while no one was looking. He sure was mad at me!

I got to sleep at home last night and man was I exhausted. I went right to the couch and didn’t move until bed time.

Eat a cookie, get sick

Wednesday, March 15th, 2006

They had some new cookies at the Cove yesterday. I got to eat two of them. I love them, as I love all food. But, sadly, they gave me a real bad bellyache. I kept dad up all night because I kept having to go out to the bathroom. He should be thankful I didn’t go in the house. But I’m smarter than that. I didn’t even eat my breakfast this morning!

But I feel better now. I have been sunning myself on the deck at the Cove and I got to eat my breakfast finally, a little late.

What am I, a pillow?

Ditto and Lula

Money, money, money!

Monday, March 13th, 2006

I got an extra day at the Cove yesterday because Mom and Dad had to go somewhere for all day. It was a special treat. To celebrate, I ate the paycheck of one of the workers at the Cove. It was sitting there, and I love to shred stuff, so it was a no-brainer. She seemed fairly annoyed, but hey, it’s not my fault.

Ditto sleeping

Dad lost his mind!

Friday, March 3rd, 2006

Yesterday sure was a weird day. Mom and Dad woke up super early and left me in the kitchen instead of taking me to the Cove. Dad kept saying, “Don’t worry, Paul will come get you soon.” I don’t know what he was talking about, all I knew was that I was tired and confused. So, I went to sleep on my bed in the kitchen.

Next thing I knew Mom and Dad were home and Dad looked insane! His hair was all crazy and he was walking around like he was drunk. I came over to lick him and he was rambling on about being given too many drugs by the doctor and not being allowed to eat for a whole day (if someone tried to not feed me for a day, I would demand justice) before he went upstairs and collapsed on the bed. I jumped on the bed and stood guard in front of him because I was worried about him. I’m a good watch dog.

Not long after that, Michelle showed up at the house to pick me up for school. Dad was supposedly asleep and Mom and Michelle were talking when all of a sudden Dad came bolting down the stairs looking crazier then ever. Michelle said he looked awful and that he should probably go back to sleep. She’s a nurse, so I think she knows best. Dad didn’t really listen, though, and was just rambling incoherently. Eventually Michelle rescued me and took me the Cove where I could play with the normal people.

When I got home later that night Dad seemed more normal, or at least as normal as he ever is.
