No lights!

Tuesday, February 28th, 2006

Last night there was a real bad storm. It was so windy I thought the windows would break. Eventually the power went out, which I thought was great, because it meant no TV or other noise to bother me while I was trying to sleep on the couch. But, that didn’t work out so well for me because even though Mom was sitting on the couch doing her stupid puzzles, Dad was pacing around the house with flashlights and saying something about the emergency action plan and preparing to evacuate. He was really bothering me.

I think the lights went on at around midnight because that’s when I decided to get up to go to the bathroom and the lights worked again.

So very tired

Friday, February 24th, 2006

I’ve had some really busy, tiring days at the Cove. As soon as I get in the car I collapse and go right to sleep until we get home. Then I eat a quick dinner and immediately go to the couch, hoping that no one will bother me. But, eventually Mom always comes down to the couch and picks me up and moves me so she can lie down there. I don’t understand why I have to move to make room for her. It seems kind of rude to me.

This morning Dad put that bad liquid stuff on the back of my neck. They say it does something to keep bugs off me. The bugs don’t really bother me, but that liquid sure does.

I got to stay over last night at Michelle and Paul’s house and I got two extra days of playtime at the Cove! It was a great time! Here are some pictures of me and my friends:

22.5 pounds!

Tuesday, February 14th, 2006

That’s right, I weight 22.5 pounds! That’s up almost three pounds from the last time they weighed me at the bad place with the doctors. Now, don’t get confused, that’s not fat that I’ve put on, it’s raw, pure muscle. I am one of the strongest dogs at the Cove. Even stronger than the biggest dogs. I am lean and mean.

Tiring weekend

Monday, February 13th, 2006

Mom and Dad sure did try to tire me out this weekend. Yesterday they took me on this super long walk in San Francisco. I was so exhausted by the time we got back to the car that I jumped right in and collapsed. I slept the entire rest of the day. It was good to be outside, though, because the weather was real nice and there were a lot of birds out for me to look at.

Dad was supposed to go away this week, but last night he decided not to. I guess there is a ton of snow where he was going and it was too much trouble. I was kind of looking forward to stepping on mom’s head in the middle of the night, but I guess I can keep doing it to Dad.

I heard them say I was going for a sleep-over at the Cove this weekend. Yay!!!

New pictures from the Cove

Here are a couple of new pictures from the Cove. Barley thought he was chasing me, but he was wrong. I was definitely chasing him.

Some people say I’m getting fat. Take a look at my belly in this picture. I’m not fat.

Crazy environmentalists

Tuesday, February 7th, 2006

On Sunday Mom and Dad took me to Mill Valley to walk around. They forgot to bring a poop bag, though, and Dad was convinced I was going to go and that the Mill Valley police would come and arrest him. So, we went into this fancy dog store to buy some bags. Dad told the lady he wanted the cheapest they had and the lady offered to sell him bags made from corn. Dad just looked at her like she was nuts and took the normal bags that people everywhere but Mill Valley use. Weirdos. Of course, I decided not to go, so it was a waste anyway.

This morning Dad took a picture of me while I was trying to get some much needed rest before going to the Cove. I dunno what his problem is.

2:30 alarm clock

Friday, February 3rd, 2006

I’ve decided that I like to wake up every morning at 2:30 to go outside. I jump off the bed and Dad yells at me to go back to sleep, but instead, I jump back on the bed, then off, then back on, then off, then back on. Then I step on his head and eventually he decides it’s easier to let me out. Sometimes I hope he’ll feed me, too, but he never does. So, then I wake up an hour later and tell him I am hungry by walking on his head again. But sometimes he gets really mad so I just curl up in a tiny ball right on top of him. Eventually he wakes up and takes me down to eat, after which I go back to sleep until Mom and Dad are ready for work.

It’s a great life I have…
