Fire trucks!

Tuesday, January 31st, 2006

Last night Dad and I got home from the Cove and there were fire trucks and police right across the street from MY house. I really didn’t like them there at all. They were loud and had these uniforms on that scared me real bad. Then they put this HUGE ladder up on the roof of one of the houses and were trying to figure out why smoke was coming from it. They must have stopped the smoke, though, because they left about a half hour later. Dad took me inside and let me play with him to distract me from the noise. I was perfectly willing to go into the house to sniff out the source of the smoke, but they didn’t seem interested in letting me help.

My new friend Bailey

Friday, January 27th, 2006

I haven’t met her yet, but I am real excited to meet Bailey. She is a Boston Terrier and her Dad is a friend of Mom and Dads. She is supposed to be real small and fun to play with. I hope I can squash her head like I did to Oscar. Hopefully she will show me the respect I deserve and do what I tell her to.

Almost got away with it…

Tuesday, January 24th, 2006

Last night Mom and Dad picked me up from daycare and before I could run out of the building the bad lady at daycare told them she fed me. I was so happy because I thought I was going to get two meals! They would have never known! I dunno why she said anything, it’s not like I eat too much. In fact, I would argue I don’t get enough food.

Busy week…

Saturday, January 21st, 2006

Well, another busy week is behind me. Dad went away this week and Mom was real sick, so I had to keep her company and make sure she was ok. It sure is funny how Dad gets to go away every time Mom is sick. I wonder if he plans it? It’s ok though because I slept right on top of Mom every night and kept her real warm to fight the cold she had. I think it worked too. She’s feeling better.

Some weird woman came to our house this morning. She was talking about replacing all of the counters in my kitchen. I’m not sure why but, I guess I don’t really mind. As long as they don’t disturb any of my stuff it should be fine.

That’s all I’ve got to report today!

My friends Casey and Charley

Friday, January 13th, 2006

Even though I haven’t met them before, I know we would be best friends. Casey and Charley are two beagles that live with a co-worker of Dad’s. They got all dressed up for Christmas and got to go to the beach! No one took me to the beach!

Here’s a picture of them:

Wedding, wedding, wedding

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006

All I hear about these days is the stupid wedding that is coming up. Mom has all these magazines spread out all over MY living room and she keeps cutting stuff out of them. I want to eat the paper, but I think she’ll get real mad. She seems to be real stressed out about a dress for all of the girls in the wedding. I say shorts and t-shirts for everyone! What would be more comfortable?

I’ve had a pretty tiring week at the Cove. I’ve been doing a lot of playing and barking. Then I come home and crash. I’ve been more tired than normal. But I still wake Dad up at 4:00 in the morning to make sure he knows I’m in charge.

Dad is away — I’m in charge!

Wednesday, January 4th, 2006

Dad is out of town all week and we all know what that means! I’m in charge! Mom tries to tell me what to do, but I rarely listen, unless she is offering food. I run around tearing stuff up, taking my toys everywhere and barking at her. I woke her up at 3:00 in the morning last night to go outside and then again at 5 when I demanded to be fed. She loved it!

Tonight I think I will drive the car, even though she says it is dangerous. She can’t stop me, because I’m in charge, and she will do my bidding. I wonder if she would give into my demands of having steak for dinner…

The rain won’t stop!

Monday, January 2nd, 2006

Well, it rained again all day today. It sure was depressing. I would stare out the big window by my couch for hours on end hoping it would stop, but it just kept coming. Mom and Dad did take me out in the car a few times to let me see what was going on. Some of the roads had water all over them. I could have gone swimming in them but Mom and Dad said the water was dirty and I wasn’t allowed.

Here’s a picture of me looking sad:

Ditto looking depressed

It is supposed to rain all week, which is no good at all. Especially since Dad is going to be gone all week at some place called Las Vegas. Mom and I will be on our own. It sure is sad.

For some reason people have started posting spam to my blog. If they don’t stop I am going to find each and every one of them and bite them. Fortunately, Dad doesn’t let any of the spam go onto the site, but it sure is annoying. I’m just a dog, trying to tell people about my life. I don’t care about gambling or some crazy thing called Viagra. So stop posting it!
