Famous

Tuesday, November 29th, 2005

Sorry its been so long since I’ve posted. I’ve been really, really busy. On Friday I got to be on TV with Dad. I was only on for a few seconds because I didn’t really like the other people that were around me so I was barking at them a lot. It was still fun. Then on Friday night I got to stay at this real neat hotel. In the middle of the night I decided to make it my own and I peed on the bathmat. That sure did make Dad mad. REAL MAD.

This weekend we played a lot and went on some nice long walks. Then on Sunday we went over to visit my friend Oscar at his house. It was real fun. I found a bowl of popcorn that was just sitting on the table so I decided to eat it. That is, until Mom came in and took it away from me. Mean.

I heard something about getting a bath today because Grandma and Grandpa from Ohio are visiting. I better not be getting a bath and I sure will be barking a lot if they bother me.

I am not a rascist!

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005

Last night Dad drove me down to the Outback restaurant and we met Mom and some other girl there. We were waiting outside for our food (all food is mine, but they think it is theirs) when a group of people came out of the restaurant. I immediately, as is my standard policy, started barking at them and looking mean. One of the guys in the group said I was rascist! I’m not rascist! I hate all people equally. I was deeply offended.

A star on Friday!

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005

This Friday I get to show my talent as a television star when I get to go with Dad to work and appear on the show he is working on. I wonder if I should learn some new tricks? I probably will just spend most of my time barking at people, but it will still be fun. And maybe it will be my big break into show business. I’ll probably be on the show in the afternoon (early evening East Coast time). Make sure you watch!

A delicious bagel!

Sunday, November 20th, 2005

This morning Mom and Dad took me on a walk and before we went we got to go to this place that serves bagels. The best part of it was that I got to eat my own dog version of a bagel! The problem was that it was almost as hard as a bone, so I had a lot of trouble eating it, so I just carried it in my mouth for the entire walk and didn’t actually get to eat it until we got back to the car. I walked everywhere with it and wouldn’t let anyone near me while I had it. They may have tried to steal it, afterall! Here is a picture of me:

Ditto and the bagel

I also got to visit the new Canine Cove this weekend. It is so great! There is a ton of space for me to run around and play. I think I am really going to like it there.

Pumpkin!

Thursday, November 17th, 2005

I get an exciting treat in my dinner every night now. A little bit of this orange stuff that Mom and Dad call pumpkin. It is SOOOO delicious. I eat it first and then the rest of my food. It makes my stomach feel real good. I wish I could have it for breakfast too, but I think Dad is too much in a hurry to go back to bed when I demand to be fed.

Last night I got to drive into the city with Dad. We went to the crazy blond girls house. That guy that I usually bark at was there too. I didn’t feel like barking, though, so I just ignored him and explored their house. I tried to eat a few things, like one of his socks, but Mom took it away from me.

Only two more days until I get to visit the new Cove!

Ditto and Dad weekend

Sunday, November 13th, 2005

Yesterday I got to spend almost the whole day with Dad. Mom went out with her friends to look for something called a bridesmaid dress. It sure sounds stupid and like something I’d like to eat. Of course, I heard Mom and Dad talking later and Mom didn’t find any she liked, but did find lots of other stuff she wanted to buy. The really disappointing news, though, is that she didn’t bring Dad or me any presents.

I was real tired most of the day and just wanted to sleep, cause Dad took me on a couple walks. I was all comfy on the couch when Dad violated my privacy again with this picture:

Ditto sleeping on couch

Then today I slept pretty late and then got to go outside and play a little bit before Mom and Dad left me home. They came back with some new pictures that they hung on the wall. They look pretty nice.

This is a big week coming up. It’s my last week at the old Canine Cove. The week of Thanksgiving they are moving to a huge new place. I can’t wait. It will have tons of room to run around and tire myself out.

Today I got real tired too and took a little nap with Mom. Dad, once again, violated our privacy and took this picture:

Big trouble coming…

Friday, November 11th, 2005

I heard Mom and Dad talking about people coming over on Saturday to the house. Come on!!! Don’t I get one weekend of peace and quiet? Simple solution, though — I will simply bark until they all leave. I did hear that we get to go on a hike, though. I love to do that because I like to track things with my super-nose.

Worse than anything, though, is that I heard Dad say someone from some place called Comcast is coming over tomorrow too. That sounds like big trouble in the form of a repairman. I hate them. I may bite him if he comes anywhere near my stuff.

And, to top it all off I heard I have to get a bath because I stink and am dirty. Who are they to decide when I’m dirty? My ancestors used to run in the fields for days on end without every being given a bath. Maybe humans are simply too worried about being clean.

Home at last…

Tuesday, November 8th, 2005

Mom and Dad came and picked me up at the Cove yesterday. Boy was I happy to see them. I jumped right into their arms and gave them lots and lots of licks. When we got home I went just a little crazy and was barking a lot because I kept hearing it rain outside. It was really bothering me. Eventually I fell asleep right in Mom’s lap.

I heard Mom and Dad telling Paul and Michelle that they didn’t see any of my ancestors in London. Apparently someone told them that all of my ancestors are dead because they are used for lab experiments in London. That is the worst thing I’ve ever heard and I am considering getting together all of my dog friends and flying over there to kick some butt.

I get to stay at the Cove a little late tonight and then a ride home in the big car with Paul. Mom and Dad are going to some stupid concert.

My vacation…

Saturday, November 5th, 2005

I’ve been having a pretty good time at the Cove while Mom and Dad are away. I’ve been getting to stay at Paul and Michelle’s house at night, which has been a really good time. I play with Marty, Rufus and Carter. Marty tries to get away from me, but I’m real fast and can always find him.

At night I have been keeping guard of their house by barking every once in awhile anytime I even get a slight feeling that there is something wrong. Sometimes I bark at the window because it looks like Michelle or Paul are on the other side of it, even though they are behind me. It really confuses me.

The other day my friend Snoopy was really bugging me while I was trying to sleep. Paul took this picture:

Abandoned!

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2005

I am so upset that Mom is leaving today that I am up in the middle of the night writing on the blog. I just know that she is going to leave me at the Cove today and go to that place called London. Last night Dad called from that bad place and I could hear him taunting me by saying hi, but I couldn’t see him anywhere. I was real mad.

It’s not that I mind going to the Cove. I love the place! I just don’t understand why I can’t go to where my ancestors are from. I’d like to meet some of my distance relatives and find a new baby brother or sister. Mom said the plane ride was too long for me, but she doesn’t know nothing.

I hope they bring me back some good treats!
