Mom and Dad are off to London

Monday, October 31st, 2005

Dad is leaving today and Mom is leaving on Wednesday. Doesn’t seem real fair that I don’t get to go with them, since that is where all of my ancestors are from. Maybe they will bring me home a new baby brother or sister?

I get to stay at the Cove again while they are gone. It should be fun. Right now Daisy is there with me during the day. She is a nice little dog. Sometimes I like to squash her head, but not that often.

Fair Isaac Test

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

When I was at the bad place last week they gave me some new test that is called the Fair Isaac test for dogs. I guess they thought I was a great candidate for it because I’ve had so many problems since I was born. But, now the vet says that every dog that had the test on the day has their results, but not me. They said they’re not really sure why that is. I bet it’s because the people were so amazed with my results they are afraid to send them back.

Good news! My Great Aunt Diane and her family bought their plane tickets for the wedding next year! I can’t wait to see everyone and just bark at them constantly. I sure won’t let anyone touch me.

I return…

Tuesday, October 25th, 2005

I’m back! Mom and Dad picked me up at the Cove yesterday. I guess they told Paul and Michelle I needed a bath before I was allowed to come home. That kind of ticked me off, but it wasn’t horrible. I was real excited to see them! I jumped all over the place and then right up into Mom’s arms.

I had a real fun time at the Cove. We went on a nice walk to The Point where I got to play in the water and run around a lot. Here’s a picture that Paul took of me:

Ditto at the Point

When I got home I went right to sleep. I was exhausted. I slept on the couch until bed time and then slept all the way until 5:00 before stepping on Dad’s head and demanding he feed me.

I heard Mom and Dad say I was going back to the Cove next week because they are going to some place called London. Where the heck is that?

I was right…

Thursday, October 20th, 2005

Well, I was right. Dad did take me to the doctor. I started shaking uncontrollably when we got there to really make him feel bad. I don’t really need to do that, I just like to because he gets real sad. Maybe he will stop taking me.

They stuck a big needle in my neck, took some of my blood and did something to my rear area that made my butt sore. It’s just not right.

I came home and slept in the big round chair and refused to sit on the couch with Mom and Dad. They’ll learn one way or another.

I think I get to spend the weekend at the Cove. I heard Mom and Dad saying something about going to Ohio. Good. I need some mental health time.

No doctors!

Wednesday, October 19th, 2005

I heard Dad say something this morning about going to the doctor. Now, I can only assume he means he is going to the doctor, because there is no way I am going. I was just there like a month ago. Why would I go back? I feel fine. I look great. What else is there? I will cause some serious damage if he tries to take me there.

Tummy ache

Monday, October 17th, 2005

Yesterday I didn’t feel too good. I ate my breakfast, well, because it was food, and why would I turn down food? Then we went on a walk and when we got home I decided to drink the whole bowl of water. Then I went upstairs and threw up all over the carpet. I like doing it on the carpet best because it’s soft, and then I can lie right down. I did it in two spots, because I really don’t like the carpet. I felt a little better after that and didn’t throw up again until later in the afternoon when I drank a whole bunch more water.

Now I feel fine and don’t want to throw up anymore. It happens sometimes. And it didn’t stop me from eating all my meals. Dad put this weird stuff on the carpet to make it smell better. I hate it though.

Oscar and the Dog Gone Fun Run

Saturday, October 15th, 2005

This has been a busy few days. On Thursday night some people came over to my house. Two of the people I had met before. I really dislike the guy, but as long as he didn’t make eye contact with me it was ok. They brought their dog Oscar with them. He sure was fun. We ran around and around and around and around. I tried to squash his head a few times. He is real small and I figured out pretty quick that if I jumped on the couch with his toys, he couldn’t follow me. Neat, huh? Here’s a picture of me squashing his head:

Ditto squashing Oscar

Then today I went to the SFSPCA Dog Gone Fun Run! It was a blast! There were dogs everywhere and I walked three miles and was real tired. Mom’s friend Liuba came with us and after awhile I didn’t mind so much that she was there. There were treats and I got to meet this weird lady that put her hand on my back and started saying what she thought I was thinking. Stupid, huh? Here’s a real cute picture of me:

New food!

Tuesday, October 11th, 2005

For some reason the people that make my food changed the way they make it and what they put in it. I don’t know why. I loved the food that way it was! The new stuff tastes pretty good too, don’t get me wrong, I just don’t know why they changed it, because it gives me a belly ache when I get new food. Dad seemed pretty annoyed, because he prefers that he gets to change my food on his own, not when someone else decides to do it.

So tired…

Monday, October 10th, 2005

I had a real busy weekend. I played for a real long time at the dog park. I met some nice new dogs that loved to have me chase them. Actually, I’m not really sure they even knew I was chasing them, but that didn’t stop me. I went in the water again. Sometimes I just feel like doing it while no one is around. I don’t like when other dogs are there splashing me.

I was so tired I wouldn’t move this morning when Mom and Dad were getting ready for work. Dad took this picture of me, once again violating my privacy.

Blue Angels

Sunday, October 9th, 2005

This weekend the Blue Angels were in town and were really getting on my nerves. I was trying to sleep and they kept flying around and making noise. I tried to see them, but couldn’t get outside while they were overhead. If I had seen them I would have really barked a lot.

A guy named David Bricker made this slideshow of the air show. Take a look.
