On vacation

Thursday, July 28th, 2005

I’m on vacation until Monday! I get to stay at the Cove and Paul and Michelle’s house with Marty and Carter. Mom and Dad are going to Ohio, or something like that.

I’ll try to report on my adventures at the Cove while they are away, but they hate when I use the computer at the Cove.

Another busy weekend

Monday, July 25th, 2005

I had another really busy weekend. Mom and Dad kept taking me all over the place. First to Blacky’s Pasture, then to the Golden Gate Bridge, then to the mall! I really hate the mall. Almost as much as Dad does. The only nice thing was that at one of the stores they gave me a treat. I really liked that.

I did get a new toy this weekend too! It’s an octopus and I love it. I take it with me wherever I go. But, when the new toy came home, this stuff in a bottle came home too and it makes the carpet taste bad. What’s the deal? They are ruining my carpet removal project and I don’t appreciate it.

Here’s a picture of me at the Golden Gate Bridge:

Stranger in the car

Friday, July 22nd, 2005

Yesterday when Mom and Dad picked me up from daycare there was a strange person in the backseat of MY car. And, he kept talking to me and saying my name. So, I stuck my head out the window and keep a close eye on him the entire ride home and barked at him every once in awhile so he knew that I was watching him. We got to what must have been his house and I decided to walk him to his door, which meant I jumped out of the window of the car. Dad was not pleased.

I don’t know why they try to make me meet new people. I don’t like people.

I hate carpet

Thursday, July 21st, 2005

Lately I have really begun to hate the carpet that is upstairs in my house. So, every night when I get home, and after I eat of course, I head upstairs and try to rip up all of the carpet. I’ve made some really, really good progress in the hallway. For some reason, though, Mom and Dad don’t appreciate all my hard work and they get really, really mad. Last night Dad was yelling at me and I kept running back and forth up the hallway and barking back at him. Who does he think he is yelling at me?

Hopefully I’ll have all the carpet gone within the next few weeks or so. They just need to leave me alone up there for a few hours to make some real progress.

A tiring weekend

Sunday, July 17th, 2005

I had a pretty busy weekend. On Saturday I got to play at Blacky’s Pasture again! There were a lot of dogs there and we ran and ran and ran. I was real tired. Good thing, too, because Mom and Dad went out on Saturday night and I got to sleep until they got home.

On Sunday I went to the dog park and also on a walk. I got to play with some dogs I’ve never met before. Some were nice, but others could have been a little friendlier.

Mom and Dad weighed me this weekend. I’m up to 20 pounds! That’s pretty big, huh? Everyone still says I look real small, but I think they are wrong.

A look back…

Friday, July 15th, 2005

Today we take a second to look back about eight months. This is when I was just six months old and had just been subjected to some bad man cutting up all my paws! Lets hope I never have to go through that again!

Remembering Piper

Thursday, July 14th, 2005

Yesterday, my friend Piper died. Piper lived a long, full life with the Yang family. One of his favorite foods was KFC, and he got to eat a lot of it in his final days. He will be missed…

Resting…

Monday, July 11th, 2005

I got to play twice at Blackey’s Pasture yesterday and man was I tired. I came home and just crashed after the second time. Mom and Dad kept taking pictures of me while I was trying to sleep. This is one of them:

And here is a picture of my friend Snoopy sleeping in a similar way and being harrassed by the Cove people with their camera:

I was all comfortable on the afghan and the flash kept going off and bothering my eyes. They are lucky I put up with them. Earlier in the day I was out completely on the dining room floor where it was nice and cool and Mom tried to pick me up and move me somewhere else for no reason at all. They both seem to think I’m a doll to play with. I will get back at them, though.

Blackey’s Pasture

Sunday, July 10th, 2005

Today I got to play at Blackey’s Pasture and man was it fun! I ran for over a half hour with a couple other dogs. We were chasing birds, each other, sticks. I got to play offleash which is always a real treat for me. I was so tired I collapsed when we got home and didn’t move at all. Here’s a picture of me and my friends:

Oh, and, this is big news! I’m famous! Some kids came to the Cove awhile back to film the Cove for a film project and they liked me so much that they thanked me in the credits! Next up: Hollywood!
